caesars poconos palace?

My fiance and I have not previously ‘been intimate’ so we liked the idea of something in the woods where we could enjoy the beauty of nature and explore each other.
I have read some negative reviews about Caesar’s Poconos, but they seemed to come from people who had over paid and who were expecting something classy from this place.
Has anyone been there? Are the draw backs things that an easy going couple who are very in to each other and who have a sense of humor and pretty much just want a playground to f**k would notice?
I was all excited about this place until I read the reviews but we really wouldn’t mind the outdated decor. We are engineers and my fiance has sideburns.

As long as you understand it’s not going to be much, and are looking for a bargain, its ok. It’s clean, and the staff is not so bad.
Think of it this way, they offer half off for a reason.
You might want to check some of the Sandals, they are offering deals right now…

My boyfriend and I stayed they from June 13 to the 15th. This was our second stay at a Caesar’s Pocono Resort, and first time at Pocono Palace. First the positives – the woodland setting is very nice. Much more wooded than I expected. We enjoyed the hiking trail and boating on the lake.
For the negative – everywhere throughout the resort is in need of some serious maintenence. In the rooms there were chips in the paint and walls, burn marks in the floor, and don’t get me started on the jacuzzi tub. We ran the tube and the jets, afterwards noticed that the jets must have not been used in awhile as once the tub was drained, there was sand and bug parts in the bottom of the tub. One other thing about the rooms is that this was the first time we stayed in a room at one of these resorts and could hear loud music from adjoining rooms.
We stayed in the Fantasy Apple suite, which is one of the better suites, and did not expect to have to listen to our neighbors. In the main buildings, things looked good on the surface, but anywhere you looked you could see the need for repair. As for the food, the breakfast buffets were the best. Dinner was average, though it is all you can eat. Drinks are expensive, but we expected that. The staff was really great which was expected as we have always liked the hospitality at the other Caesar’s resorts. What was odd was how empty the resort was. I do not think it was even 25% filled. I guess the price of gas is keeping some people away. After staying at the three couples resorts in the Pocono’s, Cove Haven is our favorite and would probably be the only Caesar’s Pocono Resort that we would return to.
