Helicopter Fights Pocono Mountain Fire

Sunday, April 26 2009, saw a forest fire outbreak occur near Cresco, Pa. The Delaware-Lackawanna railroad is nearby as well as one of the rare historical wooden stations along the line. This helicopter delivered water to douse and control the fire almost continuosly every few minutes to help save the day. Here it is seen grabbing water in a dump bucket from a nearby pond then flying over the station to head for the mountain and the fire. Great flying.

Big Swing – Adventure Weekend

This was on my trip to Camp Pine Forest in the Poconos with for my adventure class. This apparatus is the “Big Swing.” I’m only strapped into a waist harness. Lifted 40 feet in the air and pull the buckle which sends me free fall down. Fucking adrenaline rush. Holding on to nothing.
